Annapurna Dhaulagiri Trek

15 Days Trip Code NSTR198

This is one of the most spectacular 'off the beaten path' treks in the Annapurna region of unspoiled wilderness surrounded by stunning mountain scenery. Wildlife of this area include Himalayan Thar {a big wild goat}, Pikka {mammal similar to a guinea pig} And the national bird of Nepal – the multi-colored Impheyan Pheasant. For the bird watcher this trek presents a variety of species with maximum numbers available during the spring {March-May}.

The scenery ranges from the fertile splendor of the Pokhara valley with its panoramic views of Machapuchare and the Annapurna massif, through rhododendron, hemlock and fir forest, to the high above the tree line where we get uninterrupted views of the Annapurnas, the Dhaulagris and far up the Kali Gandaki past the Nilgiris into Mustang and Tibet. I've been trekking & climbing in Nepal for many years and Nepal Sanctuary treks is without doubt the best agency I have used. Tulsi, Prashant and other staff worked hard to ensured that our trip to the Khumbu Himal was one of the most memorable. Our thanks to you all. We're looking forward to seeing you all again in 2016.
