Trip Itinerary

Day 1: Drive from Kathmandu to classical medieval village

Driving Duration: 2 hours approx.

Meal: Lunch and Dinner

After a hearty breakfast, you embark on a scenic drive to Panauti, located 32 km southeast of Kathmandu. Panauti is known for its well-preserved traditional houses with intricate wood carvings, and the friendly locals make your visit enjoyable.

In Panauti, you’re welcomed by a host, enjoy a typical Nepali lunch with a host family, and explore the town’s history and culture. You’ll visit the impressive Indreshowr Mahadev Temple and experience the rich heritage of Panauti.

The town is also famous for its 40 temples and 28 festivals. Depending on the time of your visit, you can witness the village’s vibrant plantation season and festivals.

In the evening, you can participate in a Nepali cooking class in your host’s kitchen for an authentic culinary experience.

Note: You can extend an extra day by adding a day hike to Sanga or Namobuddha.

Day 2: Drive back to Kathmandu 2 hours’ drive approx.

You will be starting your day with a typical Nepali breakfast prepared by the host. After breakfast, the host will bid farewell to you. Then, you take a drive back to Kathmandu.
