Solu Trek

A trek from Phaplu and around provides an excellent opportunity to see few Tibetan refugee camps and experience the culture and religious practice of the Sherpa people who belong to the Nyingmapa sects of Tibetan Buddhism in high Solu region. The trek
combines visits to Sherpa villages, Monasteries and monks, viewing of their daily activities, their worship and ritual practices with meeting the monks, nuns and lay people. Mountain views of Everest in Khumbu region and Kanchenjungha are spectacular from here.

Itinerary

  • Day 01: Arrive in Kathmandu , receive at the airport and transfer to Hotel.
  • Day 02: Full day sightseeing tour of Kathmandu valley (Pashupatinath Temple,  Boudhanath, Swayambhu, and Kathmandu durbar square).
  • Day 03: Drive Kathmandu to Jiri (1955m).
  • Day 04: Trek to Bhandar(2190m)
  • Day 05: Trek to Sete (2575m)
  • Day 06: Trek to Junbensi(2675m)
  • Day 07: Trek to Thupten chholing Gompa monastery. (2930m)
  • Day 08: Trek Saharsabeni (3340M).
  • Day 09: Trek to Dudh Kunda (4190m)
  • Day 10: Explore day with day hiking.
  • Day 11: Trek back to Junbensi (2675m).
  • Day 12: Trek to Chiwang Gompa (2985)
  • Day 13: Visit Chiwang Gompa and trek to Tamakhani (3100m).
  • Day 14: Trek to Pike Base Camp (3300).
  • Day 15: Hiking to Pike Peak (4100m)
  • Day 16: Trek down to Goli. 2980m
  • Day 17: Trek back to Bhandar. 2190m
  • Day 18: Trek back to Jiri. 1955m
  • Day 19: Drive back to Kathmandu.
  • Day 20: Departure transfer to Airport
